This has been an unprecedented, relentless year of chaos, upheavel, trauma and uncertainty. It’s now suprise that people are feeling extremely overwhelmed and a stomach-churning sense of dread about the upcoming election.
No matter what side you’re on, you’re feeling it. The emotional cocktail includes grief, anger, sadness, bitterness, apathy and and many more. The divisions between friend, family and communities are feeling li ke a hot mess.
What we can control. We can control how we think, feel and behave. It’s so important to really know what we stand for and the values we want to convey. The question you can ask yourself each day is:

Q. What pulls me off balance from my beliefs and values?
Q. How can I be a positive force for change in the world?
When you’re controling what you think, how you feel and how you behave, you can feel more grounded. Feeling grounded will help you through uncertain times. Sometimes, that’s all you can count on is your own sense of self control.
